Things You Do Which Made A Difference

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

I am a person who has always been working for the benefit of others.
In high school, I’ve worked for presentations, competitions, festivals and special occasions more than I actually stayed in classes. But ended up okay in my results.
My University life a even stranger. After a year undergraduate being almost virtually an unknown to everyone, suddenly I became class rep. I tried my best to contribute as much as I can, as best as I can. I still remember being the unofficial spammer of exam tips and assignment related matters. I feel that being to help everyone go through the supposedly ‘tough’ university life is the best satisfaction there is. (Though I have most of the spotted or ‘leaked’ answers, I wonder why I don’t score A’s… hmm … )
I will remember a friend of mine who saved my number in his phone as ‘helpline’. Though I scolded you before for doing so, I’m happy to be able to assist you in anything.

Then in my working life, I’m working in the operations department of a company which almost required me to dedicate 75% of my life there. The other 25% is, of course going back home to sleep. Though I like my working environment and colleagues, I always feel that I’m being put through the test of endurance and pressure.

And today we have a visit from a director. Previously, I’ve introduced a friend who wanted to join the film industry as a director to him to work with. The director spoke highly of him and how he has been an important member of his team. I’m glad that I was able to help my friend and the director both achieving their dream.

Having a name closely related to chicken has earned an inspiration for a radio ad. The advertising agency who has been working with us cooked up with this radio ad.

I’ve stumbled across this inspirational story featured in Chicken Soup For The Soul. A story about how anyone somehow affects someone else’s life. WHO I AM, MAKES A DIFFERENCE

This night, I’m actually feeling suicidal and heart-broken. For all the things which I had done, I’ve done for others and not for myself. I am always brought up to adapt to others and not having something special which I can hold on to. If at anyone time I am gone either accidental or intentional, I hope this blog will be highlighted back for people to remember what I have done for them and what I have left for them. I’ve never asked for any recognition, but just knowing that I made a change in someone’s life is sufficient enough.

If ever I’m gone, I want my colleagues in MFX to look through my stuff first. If ever someone granted possession of my personal items (eg wallet, handphone, computer, room), please look around. There are plenty of nice secrets which I have kept.
Among them are:

  • A present someone gave me - Meaningless it might looked like, but it is the thought I cherish,
  • A list of great ideas to implement if I had the time and money,
  • Photos of everyone whom I have loved before.
  • MY ultimate Investment plan. (which would only be useful if I lived til 55)
